Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of collection agents to achieve monthly recovery targets.
  • Monitor daily performance metrics and provide regular feedback and coaching.
  • Allocate accounts and ensure timely follow-ups on delinquent accounts.
  • Handle escalated cases and negotiate payment plans with customers.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly reports to management.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., legal, customer service) for resolution of complex cases.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to improve team skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Commerce or Business Administration).
  • 3–5 years of experience in collections, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory/team lead role.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and collection management tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory aspects of collections is a plus.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in NBFCs, banks, or telecom collections.
  • Multilingual abilities (especially regional languages).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
